And, we offer them in a
variety of styles, and options to suit the most discriminating sailors. All
Glen Raven Sunbrella® colors and others as well.
Our standard Dodger, the most popular style of Dodger, is available a with
7/8" stainless frame, in place of the standard 3/4" frame. Welded rear
bow handrails are available on 7/8" frames. Clear vinyl side ports can
be made with circle or triangular shapes.

Removable
Side Curtains:
Although seen more often, and, more popular in
southern waters, Dodgers with removable side curtains create a greater
feeling of openness, because of the increased window area, and, when the
curtains are off. Easily removed and installed, they are secured to the
main sections using heavy duty zippers. Sun blockstrips
protect the clear vinyl from burning over the frame area.

Fixed
Bracing:
Fixed Forward, or, Aft,
Bracing provides for a more rigid Dodger, while allowing the same openness
as with removable side curtains when the wings are secured forward. When
the wings are secured aft, they afford the same measure of teather protection as with the standard Dodger. The
additional stiffness provided makes the use of the rear bow for support a
secure matter. Fixed bracing is recommended for Dodger/ Bimini
combinations allowing easier access to and from the cockpit.

Dodger
Awnings:
Our optional
Dodger Awning attachment adds additional shade, plus weather protection for
the helmsman in inclement weather. Although not intended as an aft
enclosure, the awning extension is easily rigged, or secured down, by one
person in less than a minute under adverse wind conditions. We've tested
them successfully in gale force winds. You can even sail with it using a
cabin top traveler system. It comes complete with
line, telescoping awning pole and stowage bag.
